Consist of single or more Fluorescent Lamps which provide illumination on the normal mains power supply and the same lamps continues to provides illumination during the main failure on self-contained battery source. On resumption of the mains supply, the lamps switch back to the mains automatically and simultaneously starts recharging the battery to the required level. All Maintained models provide uninterrupted illumination.
