Autolite LED Emergency Flame Proof Exit Lights (EL/M/NE/FP/SM) are designed to provide dependable emergency exit and escape-route illumination in demanding industrial environments. Developed as part of Autolite’s industrial range of flame-proof emergency lighting solutions, these lights help maintain the visibility of exits and escape routes when the primary power supply is unavailable.

The product is available in maintained and non-maintained configurations, allowing it to be selected according to the emergency lighting requirements of the installation. Both versions provide approximately 2 hours of emergency backup and use a 5W LED light source. With an IP65-rated enclosure, flame-proof construction and heat-resistant borosil glass, the product is designed for applications where robust emergency exit lighting is required.

LED Emergency Flame Proof Exit Lights

The EL/M/NE/FP/SM series combines emergency exit indication with a robust flame-proof enclosure. The maintained model is designed to remain illuminated during normal operation and continue providing exit visibility from the internal battery during a mains failure. The non-maintained version is intended to operate when normal power is interrupted, providing emergency illumination when it is needed.

Maintained and Non-Maintained Configurations

Autolite offers the EL/M/NE/FP/SM series in both maintained and non-maintained configurations. The maintained version, identified as LED EL/M/FP (SM), provides continuous exit illumination during normal operation and offers approximately 2 hours of emergency backup. The non-maintained version, identified as LED EL/NE/FP (SM), is designed primarily for emergency operation and also provides approximately 2 hours of battery backup.

Both configurations use a 5W LED light source and are specified with IP65 protection. This provides a practical combination of energy-efficient LED illumination, emergency battery operation and protection against dust and water ingress for suitable industrial applications.

Robust Flame Proof Construction

The flame-proof housing is manufactured from cast aluminium and finished with epoxy paint for a durable enclosure. The product uses heat-resistant clear borosil glass as its diffuser, providing a robust lighting assembly for demanding environments. The CMRI-certified housing is intended for specified flame-proof applications where appropriate equipment protection is required.

The IP65-rated construction further helps protect the emergency exit light against dust and water ingress. This makes the product suitable for selected industrial environments where emergency exit visibility needs to be maintained under challenging operating conditions.
